DataComm Electronics 17-In. ABS Plastic Media Enclosure with its Deep Vented HInge Cover is used in residential and commercial new construction and acts as the main connection point for all of the voice, data, cable, audio, video, or any other low voltage cabling that is run through each unit of residence. Very similar to your main electrical breaker box, this low voltage box helps house and store connectivity devices used to power your telephones, Internet, and cable, while also allowing you to keep your homes wiring neat and organized. The Wi-Fi®-friendly ABS plastic allows devices such as routers, modems, and control hubs to mount securely inside of the enclosure without interfering with network performance or creating any interference. It contains 3 knockouts for conduit up to 2 in. and 1 knockout for an electrical outlet on each end of the enclosure. Universal back box hole pattern allows for various types of modules, splitters, and cable management accessories to mount in the back of the box. Designed for DataComm Electronics products, but not limited to, these back box holes also act as ventilation for proper heat dissipation.
